This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...
|
|
Dear Parents and Carers
We’ve had a lovely and lively week at school! Year 3 had a fantastic time on their trip to Pizza Express in Dulwich, where they learnt all about making delicious pizzas (and got to enjoy the results!). Year 4 have been making excellent progress in their swimming lessons — we’re so proud of how confident and capable they’re becoming in the water. Year 6 are excited to start their own swimming lessons next week.
Today was particularly special as we welcomed our school governors. They joined us for our sharing assembly and spent time with their link classes, getting a real sense of the wonderful learning and community spirit here at school.
We also celebrated the Feast Day of St William of York with a joyful whole-school picnic. The sunshine made it a perfect day for ice lollies — a sweet ending to a fantastic celebration!
Kind regards
Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

Do you have any sheets that you could donate to school?

Yr6 are busy preparing for their Leavers' Play and they are beginning to think about costumes.
We are very fortunate that Mrs Tossell kindly helps to make the costumes for Yr6 every year - she is very talented!
This year, we are in need of some old sheets that can be sewn to make some costumes. If you have any plain cotton sheets that you could donate to Yr6, it would be greatly appreciated.

Arbor Parent App / Portal
Thank you to everyone who has already logged in.
Please can all parents/carers make time to download the app and login. You will have received an email entitled 'Welcome to Arbor'. To ensure you continue to receive messages from school.
We will be streamlining communications & payments - all on the Arbor Parent App:
- Text messages are expensive to send, therefore we will be moving to in-app messages (which are free to send). Please ensure you have notifications switched on. This will also keep messages in one place.
- Payments - you can make payments online for school trips (& in future for music lessons). Nursery parents & carers can pay for lunches & additional hours (if applicable).
If you have an outstanding balance, you will be able to see this when you log into the app - if you think the amount is incorrect, please contact the office.

Please see our Late Collection policy here.

You can submit a request for an authorised absence via the form on our website, which is linked here.
